Personal Discovery Explorations for Skeptics and Genuine Truth-Seekers
WHAT is an AGENDA?
Why is Agenda important? How is an Agenda formed? Can you define your Agenda?
An
Agenda
(sic) is a set of personal motives, biases, objectives,
or schemes based mostly upon one's self interest.
Agenda
is important because it affects to what degree a person
will be open (or closed) to
receiving new knowledge or a new idea which may or may not
be in line with theirs.
Agenda is formed by
one's drive to (1) Meet one's innate needs (love, significance,
security);
(2) Solve one's innate problems (emptiness, guilt, fear);
and (3) Fulfill one's innate desires...
('I
want to feel good.' 'I want to have stuff.' 'I want to control
things.' )
"I WANT"
Agenda may be held
either
consciously or unconsciously, but even when consciously
known may not be
admitted to when confronted by another. Can you admit to yours?
""Sadly, it is clear that within the
human predicament
personal agenda still reigns over truth."
